Adeshina’s fourth quarter explosion not enough as Lady Falcons fall to league leading UP

Victoria Adeshina’s 12-point explosion in the fourth quarter went for naught as the Lady Falcons bowed to top seed University of the Philippines, 45-57, in the UAAP 86 Women’s Basketball Tournament, October 28, at the AdU Gymnasium in Ermita, Manila.

The UAAP 85 Mythical Member showed why she was chosen as one of the previous season’s top players as she tallied 24 points, 11 rebounds and two steals.

UP, though, crowded Adeshina’s performance with their depth, with no Fighting Maroon getting to double digits in scoring.

Adamson dropped to a 2-7 record with the defeat.

Adamson only trailed by four in the start of the second half, 22-26, but a third quarter rally from their foes pushed the gap to a 26-43 gap, with the Lady Falcons only managed to score four points in the third frame.

The San Marcelino-based crew was not able to recover, going 0-2 against UP this season.

The Lady Falcons will next play University of the East once competitions resume this November 4 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
