Reigning UAAP Boys’ Track and Field MVP Kent Francis Jardin flexed his muscles in the 2023 Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) Games National Championships, bagging two gold medals just in the first day of the event held October 22 at the PhilSports Track Oval in Pasig City.
Jardin first bagged the 200-meter run, clocking in a time of 22.07 seconds before scoring another victory in the 4x100 relay, logging a 43.29-second total along with his fellow Adamsonian tracksters Denmark Dalunes, Ralph Anthony Lego, at Alexander Padilla.
A chance for his third gold medal remains open for Jardin as he is set to compete in the 4x400m relay event of the event organized by Sen. Francis Tolentino and the Philippine Sports Commission for cadet-athletes of the country’s Air Force, Army and Navy.
Jardin was already a force to be reckoned with during his stint in UAAP 85, scoring seven gold medals in all the events he competed, en route to being hailed the tournament’s best athlete.
