University, NCCA celebrate PH Heritage with Dayaw 2023

The National Center for Culture and the Arts continues to celebrate indigenous arts and culture, this time partnering with Adamson University for Dayaw 2023, the Philippine Indigenous People Festival.
Celebrations were held last October 21 at the University Theater featuring different performances portraying and paying tribute to the different native cultures in the country, as reflected on the event’s theme ‘Buháy na Dunong: Pagkamalikhain at Kalikasan’
Among the cultural performances were from the Ibaloy/Kankanaey, Iloko/Bago, Boholano/Cebuano, Panay Bukidnon, Mandaya/Mansaka/Manobo, Sama/Banguingui/Jama Mapun, Subanen, Bagobo clusters and Sining Kambayoka. The Adamson University Dance Company – Folk also delivered a rousing dance number.
The said program served as a cultural outreach activity for Adamson and the community, taking part in an important part and experiencing the various endemic cultures of the country.
