Lady Falcons bow to reigning champs in final game of first round

The Lady Falcons failed to extend their win streak to three after absorbing a 65-95 defeat against reigning seven-time titlists National University in the UAAP 86 Women’s Basketball Tournament held at the AdU Gymnasium, October 21.
Adamson kept up with NU in the first half, limiting their foes’ lead to only 13 come the end of the second frame.
The San Marcelino-based squad, though, lost their grip in the second half and allowed the Lady Bulldogs to break the game wide open, even erecting their biggest margin at 59-91 with less than two minutes remaining in the final canto.
The Lady Falcons, whose record fell to 2-5 to end their first-round campaign, committed 30 turnovers which were converted by NU to 32 points.
Victoria Adeshina led the Ryan Monteclaro-coached team with 15 points and 13 rebounds while Kim Limbago and Ann Dampios added nine markers apeace.
