The Falcons’ basketball programs are slowly gearing up for the future.
The Soaring Falcons and Lady Falcons have secured new recruits that would bolster their teams in the coming seasons.
Coach Nash Racela’s Soaring Falcons recently welcomed Royce Mantua, Noah Pacquiao and AJ Fransman to the Nest.
Mantua, who has been a versatile wing for UST in the previous two seasons, gives Adamson an athletic and agile three-level scoring wing who can also defend come UAAP 87. He has shown flashes of his offensive prowess in UAAP 85, at times serving as backup to Tigers’ superstar Nic Cabanero.
Fransman, who was the best player for the Enderun College Titans before his transfer, boosts Adamson’s ceiling because of his hustle and athleticism on both sides of the court.
Pacquiao, on the other hand, is an overseas recruit from Australia who already has a scoring touch from the outside as seen from his early plays.
Meanwhile, Maliyah Calvert is expected to be of great help in Coach Ryan Monteclaro’s rising Lady Falcons.
Calvert is from the Fil-Can Nation Select, which has produced various players who have committed in different basketball programs in the US and Canada.
