The Soaring Falcons continue their winning ways in college basketball, this time snagging the silver medal of the UAAP 85 Men’s 3x3 Basketball tournament held May 3 to 4 in Calatagan, Batangas.

The quartet of Didat Hanapi, Ivan Maata, Jhon Arthur Calisay and Wilfrey Magbuhos donned San Marcelino’s blue and white and fought toe-to-toe with De La Salle University, before bowing to the Taft side 21-18.

Adamson was up 9-4 when La Salle’s Joshua David bagged back-to-back deuces. Ivan Maata answered with an and-one, 11-8, but tournament MVP CJ Austria, David, and 5x5 Rookie of the Year Kevin Quiambao took charge to erect a 17-14 lead with 1:17 left.

Hanapi tried to get the Falcons back in the game with a basket and drew the Green Archers' seventh foul, which led to freebies, tying the game at 17.

Austria and Hanapi exchanged points to set another deadlock at 18. Quiambao then banked in a go-ahead teardrop with 16 seconds to go before finishing the game with two free throws with 3.1 seconds remaining.

Hanapi had eight points while Calisay and Maata added five points apiece. Wilfrey Magbuhos completed the Soaring Falcons lineup.

Adamson breezed through the eliminations with only one defeat then scored an upset over top-seed University of Santo Tomas in the semi-finals.
