The Lady Falcons cemented their place as the third seed in the UAAP 85 women's volleyball Final Four after fending off a pesky Far Eastern University squad, 25-22, 26-28, 25-15, 25-17, April 30, at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.

With the win, Adamson ended the elimination round with a 10-4 win-loss card, their best since a 12-2 record in UAAP 70.

Lady Falcons head coach Jerry Yee acknowledged their situation but remains upbeat of their chances.

"Opportunity ito for greatness," he said on their upcoming clash against NU.

"Yung mga kalaban namin, nakakakuha naman [kami] ng set or two so ibig sabihin, pwede, ibig sabihin may chance. Anytime na may chance na pwedeng ilaban, laro lang, laban lang."

FEU had the lead at 10-11 in the fourth set when Lucille Almonte and Kate Santiago uncorked a 9-3 barrage to pull away and close out their foes in just more than two hours.

Adamson had the chance to ice the second set with a 26-25 set point, but a a Jov Fernandez attack and an error gave the lead to FEU before Alyzza Devosora clinched the set from Morayta at 26-28 with an off-the-block attack

The Lady Falcons virtually woke up in the third and erected a 16-8 advantage to start the third frame, en route to a 25-15 set win.

Kate Santiago and Trisha Tubu remained as the usual suspects for Adamson with 21 and 18 points, respectively.

Toring, meanwhile, produced 13 points while Almonte put on another all-around performance of 10 points, 22 excellent receptions, and 16 digs.
