The Falcon batters are podium finishers in the UAAP 85 Baseball tournament.

Adamson routed UST, 13-3 in abbr. 8th inning, April 15, at the UP Diliman Baseball Field, for a potential Finals slot, which depended on the result of the game between reigning champions De La Salle University and season top-seed, University of the Philippines.

La Salle scored a 9-8 victory over UP, giving them their seventh win, eventually eliminating the San Marcelino team from contention and settling for a third-place finish with a 6-4 win-loss card.

A UP win could have forced a playoff between AdU and UP for a championship berth.
Adamson trailed the Espana squad early but staged a comeback at the bottom of the fourth, 4-3, limiting UST to scoreless fifth and sixth cantos.

The Falcon batters then opened the floodgates in their own sixth inning at bats after Shortstop John Matanguihan, relief pitcher Raymond Nerosa, and leftfielder Kean Matanguihan all scored twice to raise the score to 12-3.
After taking over from Richard Matic, Nerosa anchored the Falcon defense for the Falcons in his four innings on the mound, holding UST scoreless on two hits, while striking out four batters.

UST had a scorching start in the game, scoring runs in the first and second innings before faltering mid-game.

The loss to AdU was the first loss of the Golden Sox in the second round of competitions.
