Adamson U receives IPOPHL highest recognition

Adamson University, through the Innovation and Technology Support Office (ITS0), was conferred the Platinum Award from the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL).
The plaque and certificate of recognition were awarded by IPOPHL Director General Atty. Rowel S. Barba during the ITSO Presidents’ Summit held at Sequoia Hotel Manila Bay, March 28.
University President Fr. Marcelo V. Manimtim, CM, Vice President for Administrative Affairs and ITSO Manager Dr. Venusmar C. Quevedo and ITSO Intellectual Property Development Head Ms. Anna Ramos accepted the award for AdU.
The Platinum Award is the highest recognition being awarded by the IPOPHL for the country’s top performing ITSO units under the ITSO 2.0 Program.
The ITSO project first conceptualized by the IPOPHL in 2010 is currently composed of more than 100 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and research institution-partners all over country.
With different joint initiatives and programs that assist in developing the capabilities of their incubatees, ITSO and the Adamson University Neo Science and Technology Incubation Center (AdUNEST INC) continues to encourage innovators in the University and the country through its various programs.
This recognition demonstrates that the institution is making progress toward reaching its aim of being the foremost academic center in the country that serve as cradle of creative ideas, and where each innovation is fostered, safeguarded, and made accessible for societal good.
