Pep Squad sweeps NCC group stunts competition

The Pep Squad has, once again, proven that they are one of the top cheer teams in the country.
Three groups composed of members of the University’s cheer team swept the Open Coed Group Stunts category of the National Collegiate Championship Season 16 National Finals, March 26 at the Ynares Centre in Rizal.
Team Rebel (236.5 pts.) bagged gold, while Team Harmony (235.5 pts.) and Team Havoc (230.5 pts.) secured the silver and bronze medals, respectively.
The closest score from the three AdU squads was UAAP 85 cheerdance titlists Far Eastern University’s FEU Cheering Squad with 222 total points.
With his crew’s feat, head coach Jam Lorenzo had nothing but pride for his team.
“May medalya pa din akong maipapauwi sa mga graduating team members,” Lorenzo said in a phone interview with The Adamson News.
“That’s my tradition for the team -- that all sacrifices they make for the team, may kapalit na medal.”
Lorenzo also dedicated their victory to the University Community and late Pep Squad coach Wee Remigio.
