Dr. Awangku Hassanal Bahar Pengiran Bagul of UMS and Mr. Osamu Yamashita, NITFC President, shared their respective institutions’ efforts in pushing for environmental sustainability and sustainable development.
UMS is recognized as an EcoCampus and is ranked 53rd in the 2022 Global UI Green Metric, while NITFC has been seen as a regional activity center for education for sustainable development.
Studies by students and faculty members from the host and participating schools were also presented throughout the three-da installment of the conference.
The event also housed the official launching of the Philippine Network of Sustainable Campus (PNSC), headed by Center of Research and Development Executive Director Dr. Nuna Almanzor. The declaration on campus sustainability and development between AdU, UMS, and NITFC was also signed.
