Univ signs MOA with MUST for new double degree program

A new dual degree program may be in the pipeline as the University has signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Minghsin University of Science and Technology this March 14 at the OP Conference Room at Adamson’s Cardinal Santos Building. 

The said MOA established another tie between AdU and MUST, this time for a Computer Science – Information Engineering dual degree program. 

Adamson President Fr. Marcelo V. Manimtim, CM, and MUST President Dr. Kuo-Wei Liu expressed excitement for the new chapter in the institutions’ partnership, which lasted for over a decade. 

Fr. Manimtim and Dr. Liu were also the principal signatories to the new accord. 

Those who served as witnesses for the signing for AdU include College of Science Dean Dr. Eleanor Austria, Computer Science Department Chairperson Ma. Christina Navarro and Office for University Relations Director Sr. Maruja Padre Juan, MSCS. 

Meanwhile, MUST was represented by College of Engineering Dean Dr. Chung-Chi Liu, Computer Science and Information Engineering Chairperson Dr. Mei-Chih Chen, and International and Cross-Strait Operation Division Dean Dr. Hsin-Te Liao. 

Also present during the ceremonies for Adamson are Dr. Venusmar C. Quevedo, Vice-President for Administrative Affairs, Fr. Andrew S. Bayal, CM, Vice-President for Student Affairs, and Mr. Edward Bustillos, Director of the University Information Security Office. 

With the new agreement, the two universities are expected to continue collaborating in various fields and disciplines, such as research, engineering, and computing sciences, specifically in establishing initiatives and training for advancing their respective academic endeavors.
