Military grit and glamor filled the SV Grounds as the reserve units of Adamson University took centerstage during ceremonies held last March 17.

The 246th Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) held its annual Parade and Review rites led by Major General Joseph Ferrous Cuison, Commander of the Naval Reserve Command, and the event’s guest of honor and speaker. 246th NROTCU Commandant Reimon Retaga presented MGen. Cuyson to the participants.

In his message, MGen. Cuison shared his journey as he rose to the military ranks, from his initial position in the ROTC as Private.

“If you choose a military career, you can also attain what I have achieved,” he said.

Meanwhile, University President Fr. Marcelo V. Manimtim, CM expressed his gratitude to MGen. Cuison and the attending military officers for the ceremonies.

The Presentation of Sponsors featuring this year’s batch of cadet officers was also featured.

A Capability Demonstration featuring the 72nd Marine Battalion Reserve formally kickstarted the event.

Operation Mandaragit, which was carried out by the University’s NROTCU graduates and other marine reservists, displayed tactical rescue operations, hand-to-hand combat skills, medical capability, and disaster preparedness.

The 246th NROTCU Unit of AdU concluded the program with a pass-in-review.
