Trisha Tubu uncorked 23 points to lead the Lady Falcons’ straight sets victory over Ateneo de Manila University, 25-18, 25-23, 25-19, in the UAAP 85 Women's Volleyball tournament at the Philsports Arena in Pasig, March 12.

Composure was the name of the game for Adamson as seen on how they prevented an extended set in the second frame.

Adamson was at set point, 24-23, late in the second when Kate Santiago unleashed a canon over the blockers to spoil Ateneo’s attempt to steal the set and seal it for her team.

Holding an 18-16 lead in the third, May Ann Nuique and Lucille Almonte sparked a mini-run, which led the team in white to put away the team from Katipunan. Santiago also closed out the game for the Lady Falcons with another powerful kill.

"Yung pinapractice namin, yung pinaguusapan naming, na-eexecute ng mga players kaya masaya kami doon," Head Coach Jerry Yee said of her player’s execution.

The win marks a three-game winning streak for the Lady Falcons, which also gives them a 4-1 win-loss card, tying them with reigning champions, National University, at the second spot.

Santiago registered 11 attack points and popped nine excellent digs. Lorene Toring also tallied eight points.
