The Lady Falcons have arranged a rematch against the University of the Philippines, but this time, there will be higher stakes.

Adamson virtually secured another finals berth after a shutout victory over Ateneo de Manila University last March 4 at the UP Baseball/Softball Field in Diliman, Quezon City.

The win raised their record to 5-1, which was already a far cry from third placer, UST, which currently holds a 3-4 record.

Right-handed pitcher Glory Alonzo paced the San Marcelino team, registering a no-hitter against the Katipunan squad. It would have been a perfect game if not for the two walks she allowed in the second inning and a fielding error by first baseman Remilie Herrero.

"So far po, mindset ko lang is kung paano ako makatulong sa team lalo sa loob. Ang maambag ko lang kasi yung pitching. Kahit may palo o wala yung mga kasama ko, iniisip ko lang na ma-hold yung team," the from Negros Occidental-native Alonzo said about her feat.

"Goal namin is talagang ma-defend yung crown ng Adamson," the former National University pitcher added.

Shortstop Angelu Gabriel also made a good account of her at-bats, blasting two home runs -- during the first and seventh innings -- that scored three runs.

The Lady Falcons, once again, face UP for their last eliminations match in a preview of the tournament's finals scheduled this March 14.
