The University’s Softball Team cleared two of their UAAP 85 Softball Tournament last February 21, blanking Ateneo de Manila University, 3-0 in the morning, and running over De La Salle University in the afternoon, 6-2, at the University of the Philippines Baseball Field in Diliman, Quezon City.

Adamson was instantly off the races against DLSU, scoring two quick runs before Mae Langga punched a two-RBI single, which brought home Krisha Cantor and MJ Maguad at the bottom of the second inning.

The batters from San Marcelino then continued to pounce on their foes despite the Taft-based team scoring two in the third inning. Cantor and Madaelene Domaug reached home of a ground ball from Alaiza Talisik and a sacrifice fly from Maguad.

Lady Falcons Head Coach Ana Santiago lauded her team’s maturity but added that she still wants more from her girls, especially in the batting department.

“Sobrang off ang paluan namin, hoping ako sa next game lumabas siya. Ang maganda lang sa kanila kahit close game, hindi sila nara-rattle,” she said.

RP Blu Girls pitcher made her debut for Adamson against DLSU but was eventually replaced by Glory Alonzo after finishing three innings. Alonzo was also the team’s pitcher in their first match against Ateneo.

Adamson will face fellow unbeaten team, UP, on February 25 at their foe’s home field in Diliman.
