The Baby Falcons continued their hot streak in the UAAP 85 Boys Basketball Tournament after a clutch come-from-behind win over Far Eastern University – Diliman, 82-80, at the Filoil Ecooil Center in San Juan, February 8.

Vince Reyes hit a layup with 4.2 ticks in the game, which was followed up by a crucial defensive stop from the Baby Falcons.

FEU-D held the lead throughout the first three quarters of the game, even holding a 20-point lead, until the team from San Marcelino unleashed a furious rally, outscoring the Baby Tamaraws 23-12 in the final canto to steal the game for their seventh straight victory.

With the win, Adamson rose to a 7-1 record and tied Nazareth School of National University for the top spot.

Coach Mike Fermin lauded his boys’ performance, pointing out their resilience despite being down big in the early going of the game.

"I hope we are learning from this," he said. "Imagine we are down from 20, kung mahina ang puso ng mga ito, bumitaw na. Ang usapan lang, one stop at a time."

Mat Edding tallied a career high 30 points, while scoring nine in the fourth to lead the Baby Falcons’ fightback in the second half. He also had nine rebounds, five assists and two steals.

Peter Rosillo also provided a crucial scoring punch for AdU after posting eight of his 19 markers in the final canto to go along with two steals and a block.

The Baby Falcons also forced FEU-D to commit 21 turnovers while committing only seven from their end.

Adamson gun for their eight straight win as they face University of the Philippines Integrated School this February 11 at the same venue.
