Community holds mass for founder’s son, departed Adamsonians

The University commemorated the life of Dr. Lucas George Adamson, son of Adamson U founder, Dr. George Lucas Adamson, and other members of the AdU community who have passed on, with a requiem mass held last January 16 at the ST Chapel.

Fr. Marcelo V. Manimtim, CM presided over the mass, which he concelebrated with Campus Ministry Director Fr. William Azul Encelan, CM and Center for Research and Development Director Fr. Daniel Franklin Pilaro, CM.

In his homily, Fr. Manimtim recalled the Adamsons’ contributions to AdU and Dr. Lucas George’s last visit to the University when the Founder’s Wing of the Adamson Museum was inaugurated.

He then proceeded to remind the mass goes made of students, academic and co-academic staff, and administrators to remember those Adamsonians who recently passed away, saying each have had impacts to the lives of people within the walls of the school.

Dr. Lucas George Adamson, who passed away last January 12, was intrumental in the establishment of the Adamson Museum's Founder's Wing, donating memorabilia of the his father, Dr. George Lucas Adamson, founder of the institution.

He, together with his family, ensured all the artifacts were safely delivered to the Adamson campus from their home in Spain. Theiy also made key contributions for the school's scholarship efforts.
