Pharmacy alumni pass US pharmacy “boards”

Four alums from the College of Pharmacy recently became eligible practitioners abroad.
Shiela Mae Magcauas, Herbert Howell Flores, Eunice Jasmine Lacebal and Iza Arithea Pacunayen all hurdled the Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Examination (FPGEE) held last October 18. Results were released Dec. 16.
Magcauas and Flores were from the Clinical Pharmacy Class of 2019, Lacebal was from the Clinical Pharmacy Class of 2020 and Pacunayen is from the Doctor of Pharmacy Class of 2021.
The FPGEE is a comprehensive pharmacy exam offered by the United States' National Association of Boards of Pharmacy that assesses its takers’ knowledge in biomedical, pharmaceutical, behavioral, and clinical sciences.
Passing the said exam entails that a pharmacy practitioner can carry out their profession in the US.
