The University held its first in-campus celebration of the Feast Day of Saint Vincent de Paul since the pandemic last September 27 in various venues around campus.

And the concerned offices and departments did it with style.

The re-opened Soup Kitchen ni Ka Enteng managed by the Institute for Religious Educaction kickstarted the festivities, giving away free rice porridge breakfast.

A concelebrated mass attended by the Adamsonian Community was then presided over by AdU Vice President for Financial Affairs Fr. Rafael K. Eloriaga, CM at the San Vicente de Paul Parish. The 246th Naval ROTC held by Vice President for Student Affairs Fr. Andrew S. Bayal, CM also held a wreath laying ceremony at the SVP statue in front of the parish church before the mass.

Fr. Eloriaga, in his homily, encouraged Adamsonians to get inspiration from the life and teachings of Vincent, and as Vincentians in their own rights, emulate his charism in their practices and perspectives.

A procession of the SVP image that traversed the SV, ST and CS Building areas quickly followed suit. Students, faculty, staff and athletes were present.

Cultural and talent competitions among colleges and departments were also held at the ST Quadrangle to celebrate AdU’s patron saint.

The University’s Pep Rally was also held on the same day.
