Lady Falcons vent ire on San Sebastian in Shakey’s Super League

Fresh from a late night upset from the UST Tigresses, the Lady Falcons let out their frustrations on the San Sebastian College-Recoletos Lady Stags, 25-10, 25-14, 25-18, , in the Shakey’s Super League this October 2 at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

Sophomore lefty Kate Santiago led the San Marcelino girls’ attack with 15 points off eight attacks to subdue their Quiapo-based foes. This is AdU’s first victory in the league’s Pool B.

Trisha Tubu, however, was a revelation for the ladies in blue and white, being hailed as the game’s best player after showcasing her talents in both offense and defense after she tallied seven points out of four attacks, two service aces and a block.

The Jerry Yee-mentored squad started the contest with a scorching offense, zooming to a 23-7 lead in the first set. San Sebastian never recovered and succumbed to Adamson’s pressure for a straight set defeat.

Rizza Cruz registed 11 markers for the Lady Falcons whie Ishi Lalongisip had eight.

The Lady Falcons will try to snag back-to-back victories as they face the Lyceum of the Philippines University Lady Pirates this October 16.
