Adamsonian athletes gave their klasmeyts a treat before competing again in the UAAP 85.

Different athletic teams of the University showed off their non-sporting talents as they delivered different performances in front of the Adamsonian Community in AdU’s Pep Rally held last September 27 at the SV Gym.

Fr. Aldrin Suan, CM, the University’s Athletic Director and UAAP 85 President, set the bar for this year’s goal, which the University is hosting.

"This year, we will soar high because we set our goals high," he said, also explaining this year’s theme, Rise as One.

Using the theme, he encouraged the athletes, as well as the community, to remain resilient as success will be just around the corner.

Fr. Suan also introduced the varsity team’s new logo, featuring a Falcon portrayed as being ready to soar. It featured a softball for its eye in honor of the University’s success in the UAAP’s softball event, winning its last nine titles.

The AdU Pep Squad then delivered a rousing BTS-inspired performance to hype the San Marcelino crowd. AdU UAAP correspondent, Janna Ehido, was also introduced.

Among those teams who participated in the program are: Softball, Men’s and Women’s Volleyball, Boys’ and Girls’ Volleyball, Boys’ and Men’s Basketball, Badminton, Chess, Lawn Tennis, Table Tennis, Football, Track and Field, Baseball, the Pep Squad and the University’s Drumline, AUDYO.

UAAP 85 festivities will begin on October 1 as the Soaring Falcons face the UST Growling Tigers in Men’s Basketball action.
