AdU-ECE shine in IRConTECS 2021

The University’s Electronics Engineering Department brought home remarkable accomplishments from the Second International Research Conference on Technology, Engineering, Culture and Society (IRConTECS 2021) hosted by Bicol State College of Applied Sciences and Technology last October 12 to 14 via Zoom.
Dr. Angelo Beltran Jr., Mr. Jan Michael Mendoza, Mr. Ralph Jejomar Bustamante, Ms. Christine Joy Macalino, Ms. Fiorelli Shane Sandoval, and Mr. Erwin Valenzuela’s research titled 'Wind Speed Forecasting in Tuguegarao, Cagayan Valley Using Artificial Neural Network' under the “Information System” category bagged Second Best Conference Paper.
Mendoza, meanwhile, was was hailed as Second Best Research Presenter with the same research for the track ‘Climate Change and Disaster Preparedness’.
"It is evident that our students are competing their research in a top-notch level,” Dr. Beltran said. “I very much hope that these achievements may further promote our students to continue progressing towards research excellence."
IRConTECS had the theme ‘Transforming the future through innovative integration of technology and engineering for diverse culture and global societies” for this year.
Engineers, researchers, industry practitioners, professors, graduate students, and educators from diverse fields and institutions both local and abroad attended the event that presented new ideas, emerging technology, design, and developments in the field of engineering, technology, science, culture, education, and society at large.
