Five former Soaring Falcons will be suiting up for different teams in Filbasket.

This is as inaugural teams in the country’s newest amateur basketball league, Filbasket, have picked up Ken Bono, Patrick Cabahug, Dawn Ochea, Simon Camacho, and Egie Mojica. Filbasket unveiled its teams’ rosters last October 13 via its social media account.

Bono, one of Adamson’s greats landed with MTrans Buracai De Laiya – Batangas City. The burly big man manned the paint for Adamson from 2003 to 2006, and was named UAAP MVP in his final year in San Marcelino. He was brought in by the Alaska Aces as the 6th overall pick in the 2007 PBA Draft.

The former King Falcon has then journeyed with eight teams in the PBA and the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) since he turned pro. He is also a two-time PBA titlist.

Cabahug, Ochea, Camacho, and Mojica, meanwhile, will be together at Medical Depot. Cabahug and Mojica are expected to provide outside sniping while Ochea and Camacho, former Falcon team captains, are being eyed as their team’s hustle guys and leaders.

Filbasket, founded by ex-pro Jai Reyes, kicked off its bubble tournament last October 28 at the Subic Gymnasium in Subic Bay Freeport Zone.

7A Primus, AICC Manila, Burlington EOG Sports, Davao Occidental Tigers - Cocolife, FSD Makati - Army, Muntinlupa Defenders, Nueva Ecija Besprens, Pasig - Sta. Lucia Realtors, and San Juan Knights – Go for Gold round-up the teams competing in the single-round robin regular season.
