Gratitude was the general mood as the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) closed the operations of the Isolation Facility at the University’s Male Athletes’ Dormitory last September 28.
Falcons’ Nest served as PRC Isolation Facility for 46 mild and asymptomatic COVID-19 cases, including 30 from Daughters of Charity-managed Hospicio de San Jose.
“Taos pusong nagpapasalamat ang Philippine Red Cross sa lahat ng bumubuo ng [Adamson University], sa pakikiisa sa laban kontra COVID-19. Your facilities and financial support helped countless people at their hour of vulnerability,” PRC wrote on their social media.
Hospicio administrator Sister Maria Socorro Pilar Evidente also expressed thanks for AdU after it heeded their call for assistance when COVID cases ballooned in the humanitarian welfare institution.
“Ako ay nagpapasalamat sa Adamson University sa pakikipagtulungan sa Red Cross upang gawing isolation facility ang dormitory sa Adamson. With our partnership, we are able to cater Covid19 positive patients from Hospicio de San Jose, providing aid in times of emergencies,” she said.
The Falcons’ Nest was converted into an Isolation Facility last April in response to the initial surge of COVID cases in Metro Manila, however, it was only opened in August.
