Chem hosts new normal scientific approaches webinar

The Chemistry Department held a two-day webinar highlighting skills development and workshops on research and laboratory techniques.
Catalyst U, held online last September 11 and __ focused on scientific reasoning, perspectives, and methodologies in the new normal.
The event's first day featured talks from in-house and guest resources speakers.
Mr. Carlo Andres of the said Department discussed Software and Online Resources for Chemistry Students while Library Services Director Ms. Judeelyn Bundoc talked about the Virtual Library Instructions program.
Philippine Institute of Pure and Applied Chemistry (PIPAC) Head of Training and Services Dr. Gilbert Yu, and Integrated Chemists of the Philippines (ICP) President Dr. Fabian Dayrit, meanwhile, shared their ideas on Laboratory Safety Protocols, and Importance of Research to the Society, respectively.
The second day featured Chemistry Department Faculties' research presentations that spanned for almost three hours. Nine faculty members delivered their 15-minute reports.
