New school year enrollment up by 23% amid shift to online classes

Adamson U may have shifted to online learning last year due to COVID-19, but this year’s enrollment numbers show that the student body continues to grow despite the uncertainties brought by the CoVid-19 pandemic.
The University welcomed 17, 768 students for the SY 2021-2022, an impressive 23% growth from last year’s 14, 534 enrollees. Freshmen enrollment, meanwhile, is at 3,334, a 39% rise from last year’s 2,404.
The College of Engineering has the biggest student population with 4,018 enrollees, followed by the College of Business Administration and the College of Science, with 2,612 and 2,316 students, respectively. Other colleges account to 3,423 enrollees.
The Graduate School has the biggest jump in enrollees, doubling its total from the previous school year with 1,098 enrollees from 507. Likewise, the Senior High School experienced an increase of 20% in enrollment with 3,027 students, while Basic Education has 1,274.
