Caloy Yulo is back.
The country's top gymnast has regained his winning form, as seen on his performance in the 2021 All Japan Senior and Masters Gymnastics Championship last September 23 held at the Sakata City National Athletic Meet Memorial Gymnasium.
The 21-year old topped the floor exercise event with a golden performance good for a 15.30 score, while also posting a 15.00 in vault, just behind Asato Keisuke (15.233) and Tanigawa Wataru (15.200) for a bronze medal.
The performance is also an excellent build-up to the 50th FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championship in Kitakysuhu, Japan from October 18 to 24.
Caloy vowed to come back strong after a disappointing tally at the Tokyo Olympics where he finished 44th in floor exercise, his pet event, and 4th in vault apparatus.
The 2021 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships on October at Kitakyushu, Japan will be next in line for Caloy as he defends his floor exercise world title.
