An Adamson U alumna continues to soar high abroad.
Dr. Mary Jane Alvero – Al Mahdi, CEO of Prime Group of Companies, received the 2021 Dakilang Bayani Award from the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai, in recognition of her exemplary success, during ceremonies held last June 12, the 123rd celebration of the Philippine Independence Day.
“To be a Dakilang Bayani means creating a difference, making invaluable contributions to society and helping people realize their worth. Receiving a recognition from a reputed institution means a validation of one’s works,” the BS Chemical Engineering (1991) alumna said.
“I am honored and I vow to continue to take responsibility for every choice and decision I make, and commit to continually improve myself and do more.”
The annual recognition is done to acknowledge exemplary Filipinos who have given great inspiration to many through their success.
Other awardees include renowned fashion designer Michael Cinco, entrepreneur Fevie Laurilla, financial consultant Ace Quijada, community organizer Josie Conlu, Illustrado Magazine Founder Lalaine Chu-Benitez, and Gulf News Senior Reporter Angel Tesorero.
Dr. Alvero – Al Mahdi was recently with the University as Guest of Honor in the 82nd Commencement Exercises last 2020.
