Research in the University continues to go forward as a program involving AdU received funding from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).
Seven Niche Centers in the Region for R&D (NICER) programs under DOST’s umbrella, Science for Change Program (S4CP), were recently approved, including the Center for Environmental Technologies and Compliance to be led by the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, in collaboration with UP Diliman and AdU.
The project is expected to receive P53.3 million within two years to supplement for the development of environmental technologies and support compliance of local industries having environmental standards.
Dr. Rugi Rubi of the Chemical Engineering Department represents Adamson U in the said project as he is responsible for a part of the program focused on the development of sensors using carbon dots from waste plastics.
S4CP also funds the Collaborative R&D to Leverage the Philippine Economy (CRADLE) program, wherein the College of Pharmacy currently leads a sub-project, and is expected to be part of another.
