ITSO, AdUNEST continues technopreneurship bootcamp with three more sessions

Even with pandemic, ITSO has continued with its technopreneurship bootcamp which recently held its 7th, 8th, and 9th sessions in separate online webinars this April and May. The seventh installment of the training program held last April 29 focused on Strategic Planning and Risk Management.

Mr. Sherwin Nones, Head of Strategy, Integrated Microelectronics, Inc. (IMI), discussed the different Strategic Planning and Marketing Strategies, highlighting the importance of understanding customers. Mr. Arpit Shrivastava, Co-founder & Lead Consultant, GCSS, Inc., meanwhile, discussed what Risk management is all about and how it can be used daily, and practically.

Meanwhile, the eighth session last May 7 taught participants how to ‘dazzle the big fishes to take a bite to a start-up company,’ namely on how to secure funding source and weathering financial crisis through an operative and interpretive financial analysis.

Mr. John Francis Diaz, PhD, RFP, Associate Professor at the Asian Institute of Management Department of Finance & Accounting, and a Registered Financial Planner and Certified Corporate Risk Manager (CRMC) by the Management & Strategy Institute, US, was the keynote speaker.

Session 9 which focused on Data Ethics for Startups, Business Ethics, and 21st Century Skills was held last May 13, delving into how businesses should nurture respect, equality, and justice. The lecture on Business Ethics and 21st Century Skills was handled by Ms. Diane Eustaquio, Council Member, UNDB Fairbiz Private Sector Advisory Council. She was also the Former Executive Director of IdeaSpace Foundation that supported 107 start-up projects, contributing an estimated 7M USD to the PH economy and close to 500 jobs in the start-up field.

Mr. Dominic Ligot, on the other hand, discussed Data Ethics for Start-ups. He is the Founder and Principal Consultant & CTO – CirroLyfix Research Services, an award-winning firm that received citations from NASA International Space Apps Challenge and Group on Earth Observations (GEO).
