SHS studes bag awards in nat’l journalism tilt

Two students from the Senior High School Department received recognition from the recently-concluded Camilo Osias Art Festival (CAMAF) 2021. Results were posted online last April 12.
Arleth Isabel Lomotan, a Grade 11 student under the Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) strand was ranked 9th in News Writing in the event co-organized by the National University’s The Nationalian campus paper and National Union of Journalists of the Philippines (NUJP).
Jerica Isabela Masculino’s photojournalism shot Pantasya sa Reyalidad, meanwhile, was hailed People’s Choice. Masculino is also a Grade 11 student under HUMSS.
The Camilo Osias Art Festival, held in celebration of the National Arts Month, is inspired by its namesake, Camilo Olaviano Osias, an educator-writer and statesman known as one of the country’s most notable advocates of freedom during the American occupation, and first president of National Univesrity.
