Fr. Marcelo V. Manimtim, CM reminded AdU employees and administrators to always strive for the best in giving service to the school’s topmost stakeholders, the students.
In his homily during the Eucharistic Celebration for the University’s 89th Foundation Anniversary, Fr. Manimtim told the community to be vigilant in each step being taken amid the current situation.
“As teachers and administrators, we need to take decisions and implement actions that assure quality education for all our students,” he said.
“This is a formidable task and we need all the help we can get. Towards some of these tasks, it would be foolhardy to claim that we have the solutions ready at hand because when you really come to think of it, we really do not know what best to do.”
With this, he refers to the teaching and acts of Saint Vincent de Paul especially his willingness in serving the poor.
“I believe Jesus is also asking from every one of us that kindred openness of the spirit so that that we can work together and address the needs of our students,” he said.
“We really have to work hard, even unremittingly, at what we are doing, with the consolation that we will hear from Jesus: Come to me all you who are burdened and I will give you rest; and we will get there as long as we give the best to ourselves to our students. “
