Jerrick Ahanmisi and Jerrie Pingoy have officially turned pro after being drafted to the Philippine Basketball Association during the league’s rookie draft held online last March 14.

Ahanmisi was drafted 10th overall by the Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok. The Fil-foreign sniper, who was the supposed team captain of the Soaring Falcons for Season 83 skipped his final year in the UAAP to turn pro.

Pingoy, meanwhile, was drafted in the 5th round by the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters.

He had a tumultuous collegiate career highlighted by now-defunct rule, named after him, that required Juniors’ players moving to a different Seniors’ team to redshirt for two years.

His best stint came while being a member of the FEU Baby Tamaraws where he was a two-time Juniors MVP. He then moved to Ateneo but was further sidelined due to injuries and academic deficiencies, which then led him to land at the Falcons’ Nest at San Marcelino.
