AdU features PH ethnic dances in Bangladesh conference

The University went ethnic Filipino in American International University – Bangladesh’ Folklore 2021 – Symphony of the World held via Zoom last February 21.
Adamson U, one of six Filipino institutions in the event, showed performances of the Adamson University Folk Dance Troupe of some of the country’s traditional dances – karatong and subli, sayaw sa bangko, and tinikling. Dr. Pamela B. Mantuhac, IDEA Office Director, provided short backgrounds for the said presentations.
The said event carrying the theme Resonating through the Lockdown was done in celebration of the International Mother Language Day.
Other Philippine universities who participated in the said festivities were First City Providential College, Lyceum of the Philippines – Batangas, Pan Pacific University, San Beda University, and University of San Carlos.
Assam Don Bosco University (India), Caucasus University (Georgia), Centro de Ensenanza Tecnica y Superior Universidad (Mexico), Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (India), Mykolas Romeris University (Lithuania), Panyapiwat Institute of Management (Thailand), Siam University (Thailand), University of Visual and Performing Arts (Sri Lanka), and Universiti Utara Malaysia (Malaysia) round up other participants.
