Ex-Falcon woodpusher aims to bag PCAP title with dad

Art Villasenor, a former member of the Soaring Falcons Chess Team is vying for another shot at glory as he looks to secure the inaugural title of the newly-minted Professional Chess Association of the Philippines (PCAP).

At 60, Art will look to lead the Caloocan LoadManna Knights to victory along with his father, National Master Pacifico Villasenor, 81, the oldest professional athlete to be drafted in sports.

According to a report by The Philippine Star’s Rick Olivares last February 14, Caloocan is currently leading the Northern Conference of the online tourney.

Art competed for the Soaring Falcons in the UAAP and for San Miguel-Magnolia in commercial chess leagues.
