The future in San Marcelino remains bright as three Baby Falcons commit to stay home for UAAP 84.

Matty Erolon, Didat Hanapi and Joshua Barcelona have decided to remain faithful with Adamson and move up to the Soaring Falcons. The Office for Athletic Development has confirmed the move.

Erolon is a deadshot from beyond the arc who averaged 15.4 ppg, 3.6rpg, 2.8apg and 1.7spg in his first season with the Baby Falcons.

Barcelona, meanwhile, is a 6’4 bruiser who was a revelation last UAAP 82, posting 7.2ppg, and 6.3rpg, a far cry from his 2.9ppg and 2.3rpg averages in UAAP 81.

Hanapi is a slashing guard who posted 6.6ppg, 4.2rpg, and 2.3apg last season.

The three will be quality additions to a retooling San Marcelino squad that lost the core of its UAAP 82 team.

Supposed UAAP 83 team captain Jerrick Ahanmisi has foregone his final year of eligibility and has applied for the PBA Draft, joining the previous season’s graduates, UAAP 82 team captain Simon Camacho, and veterans Ejie Mojica, Christian Bernardo, and Val Chauca in leaving San Marcelino.

The new Soaring Falcons will have much competition for playing time with the team's young core headlined by Jerom Lastimosa, AP Manlapaz, and Joem Sabandal, along with a plethora of new recruits in Andrei Abellera, Mario Barasi, Jhon Calisay, Roger Syvels delos Reyes, Joaquin Jaymalin, Adrian Punzalan, and RV Yanes.
