CE alum is int’l infrastructure firm PH head

An alumnus of the University’s Civil Engineering program is carrying the blue and white in the international stage after being chosen as head of a globally recognized infrastructure consulting firm’s Philippine office.
Mr. Dante B. Bautista has been hired as Office Director of TY Lin International’s Office in Manila, and will be responsible for the firm’s business ventures in the country, and will serve as Deputy Manager for TYLI’s Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge Project.
In an interview with business communication company Business Wire, Marwan Nader, Ph.D., P.E., TYLI Senior Vice President, Technical Director - Bridge Line of Business said Bautista “will work closely with T.Y. Lin International’s Bridge Line of Business as we provide Detailed Design Engineering services for the Philippine’s new Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge.”
Bautista, as a professional and a practitioner has already received multiple citations such as the Specialist Traffic Engineer Award from the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineer (PICE) Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), and Outstanding Road Safety Practitioner Award (Traffic Engineering Category) from the Safety Organization of the Philippines.
He has also led various local endeavors including the traffic study for the North Luzon Expressway Project, Cavite-Laguna Expressway Project, Cebu-Cordova Bridge Project, and the Makati Central Business District Transit Rationalization, and has served under the Metro Manila Skyway Stages 2 and 3 Outline Design and Traffic Study.
He was also hailed as one of the Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines during his time as a student. Aside from a BS-CE degree from AdU, Bautista also holds a MA in Urban and Regional Planning -- Transportation Planning Specialization from UP Diliman.
