AdU’s top technopreneur gets spotlight in IPOPHL zine

Dr. Merlinda Palencia continues to be an inspiration to her contemporaries as the Envigor Chief Operating Officer was featured in Volume 1 of Women in Intellectual Property (WinIP).

The e-magazine highlighting lady personalities in the IP field was published by the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) in its website.

“Dr. Merlinda Palencia, a local inventor and former dean of the Adamson University Graduate School, has observed a surge of support for the academe in the recent years, with efforts focused on sparking an entrepreneurial spirit within the research community,” IPOPHL described the 2020 DOST-NAST G.Y. Zara awardee.

The IPOPHL Twitter account also lauded her achievements on the Vigormin product which has evolved into a successful technopreneurial project in the University.

“The genius behind Vigormin, a wastewater cleaning powder that solved one of the country's long-standing wastewater problem, is a #woman,” IPOPHL wrote.

“[She] is the inventor of Vigormin that changed the way we treat waste products using sustainable solution that cost less to produce.”
