Computer Science students from Adamson U dominated the competitions of the recently-concluded Cybersecurity Conference 2020 held via online platform. Results were officially announced last October 24.

Team JoYuRiz composed of Angelo Erasmo, Patrick Mark Andrei Castro, Jerold Cammacho, and Julius Fredrick Nocon bested all competitors, bagging the championship of the event sponsored by the Information Systems Security Association – Philippine Chapter (ISSAPH) in partnership with the United Nations Fund for Population Activities (UNFPA).

The said team also received the Best Technology and Best Idea awards.

Meanwhile, Dominic Antigua, Ezra Daniel Dela Peña, and Kervy Mestiola under Team Spectra were also hailed as champions of the Capture the Flag event.

This year’s National Cybersecurity Conference, according to the UNFPA Philippines, “…aims to bring together cybersecurity experts from across the country and invite young leaders to come up with solutions to online sexual exploitation and cybersex trafficking.”

Other partner schools of the event are University of Santo Tomas, San Beda University, Technological Institute of the Philippines, Asia Pacific College, University of Luzon, and Isabela State University.
