Class of 2020 features 12 Latin honorees

Five Magna cum laude, two Cum laude, two Meritissimus, and three Bene meritus awardees headline the Class of 2020.
Nicole Nathalie Bulanadi (BS Accountancy), who finished Magna cum laude, spearheaded this year’s set of undergraduate Latin honorees, is joined by fellow Magna cum laude Richelle Locriana (BSBA-Financial Management), Mariella Munoz (BS Accountancy), Rossel Flores (BSBA-Financial Management), and Kenneth Cidro (BS Accountancy). Charlotte Sigua and Neil Jay Nicole Dela Cruz, both from Accountancy, finished Cum laude.
Nicole Jean Mercado (BS Geology), and Dorielyn Albao (BS Accountancy) received the Distinguished Student Leader Awards.Both were also Academic Merit Awardees.
The Graduate School, meanwhile, had four honorees in its Master’s programs, and one in Doctorate.
John Kristoffer Ruiz (MA in Education – School Administration and Supervision) and Ma. Karen Papellero (MA Theology- Systematic Studies –SVST) were both conferred Meritissimus while Laiza Joy Delos Reyes (MA in Psychology – Developmental/Educational Psychology) and Vivian Almadrones (MA in Education -- School Administration and Supervision) received Bene meritus.
In addition to her academic accolade from Adamson-SVST, Papellero also recently finished her advanced Masterʼs studies in Theology and Religion at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium where she received the said degree with Summa cum laude distinction last September.
Pamela Mantuhac (PhD in Education - Educational Leadership), former head of the University’s Office for Vincentian Identity and Mission (OVIM), and current director of the Institutional Development and External Affairs (IDEA) Office was the lone academic awardee in the PhD level, garnering a Bene meritus honor.
This year’s class of graduates have been deemed as special ones, being the first batch to graduate via virtual Commencement Exercise due to the continuous threats posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
