SVP, Adamson serve ‘feast’ in Vincent feast day

Vincentian spirit radiated in the CS Walkway as the Vincentian community served street dwellers special meals, with fruits, sweets, and shirts added to the daily packs they receive from.
The program which served at least 600 homeless was done in celebration of the feast day of Saint Vincent de Paul on the same day, September 27. Saint Vincent is the founder of the Congregation of the Mission, and is the patron saint of the parish and Adamson U.
“Hindi lang s’ya complete meal kun’di may mga extra pa tayong naipamimigay. Araw-araw since lockdown, ganito hanggang ngayon,” Fr. Joel Rescober, CM, SVP parish priest and project head, said, explaining the difference of the day’s feeding program to others done regularly.
(What we give are not just complete meals, we also give some ‘extra’ as much as possible. We have done this since the lockdown began.)
Fr. Rescober also expressed appreciation to the benefactors and supporters of the said program.
“Unang-una, nagpapasalamat tayo sa mga taong mabubuti ang kalooban na nagbabahagi. Kami’y instrumento lang. Ito ay isang pagpupumilit lang na sundan ang yapak ng ating patrong si Vicente,” he said.
(I thank everyone who has supported this project for their generosity. We are just instruments. This [project] is just our way to emulate our patron Saint Vincent.)
“Biyayaan sana sila ng Panginoon – sa mga patuloy na tumutulong at sana ay ipagpatuloy po natin.”
(May the Lord shower all those who helped and continue helping us with more blessings.)
The food distributed during the said feeding program came from donations of Adamson U faculty and employees who ride the shuttle service to and from the school. 2018 BSBA Marketing Management Alumni Via Gonzalo and Gino Flores also chipped in their contributions.
