Adamson releases new ‘modes of learning’; revises acad calendar

Responding to the ‘new normal’ and the protocols implemented by the government, the University has decided to revise its modes -of learning the coming semester and the succeeding year.

Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Catherine Q. Castañeda, in a memorandum released last May 28, announced that the Midyear Term of SY 2019-2020 will be conducted ‘purely online using both
synchronous and asynchronous learning strategies’ while SY 2020-2021 will feature a flexible mode of learning.

VPAA Memorandum No. 7, S. 2020 stated that the Basic Education and Senior High School Departments students will have the option of having either online learning or home-based modular learning depending on the availability of stable internet connection.

Meanwhile, tertiary and post-graduate education, including the Saint Vincent School of Theology will adopt flexible learning using an online platform for synchronous and asynchronous learning strategies.

The VPAA also released an updated calendar of activities for SY 2020-2021:
