Beltran of ECE is keynote speaker in int’l forum

Dr. Angelo Beltran, Jr. of the Electronics Engineering department was chosen as one of the keynote speakers in the recent Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) International Conference on Smart Technology and Applications. 

The conference held at University of Bhayangkara Surabaya, Indonesia last February 20 had the Empowering Industrial IoT by implementing green technology for Sustainable Development, and covered research topics under the fields of Sustainable and Green Energy, Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence, and Smart Technology.

The IEEE International Conferences are necessary platform for electrical and electronics engineers, both from academic and industry research as well as practitioners. Bright and novel methods and ideas appear from different researchers in solving complex scientific and engineering problems," Dr. Beltran said. 

“Innovation is the key in revolutionizing research; we need to be adaptive, innovative, and stay updated with the recent trends."
Several researchers from the academe and industry also showcased studies focusing on energy and power systems, computer, electrical, and electronics engineering, communications, intelligent systems, among others.
