The University has denied a news article that has gone viral saying the Center for Research and Development (CRD), along with a private company, is to produce CoViD-19 test kits.

Dr. Nuna Almanzor, AdU-CRD Executive Director, dismissed the said article published by blog page pesoeconomics. The write-up posted April 13 claimed that AdU-CRD, along with Manila HealthTek Inc. will produce 2,000 CoViD-19 test kits.

“Adamson University is not the institution being referred to in this article. I havenever made any announcement because no such project is being undertaken by Adamson University’s Center for Research and Development,” Dr. Almanzor said.

As of this writing, the University, Saint Vincent de Paul Parish, and the Congregation of the Mission have responded to the pandemic by launching numerous fund raising projects to provide relief packages for disadvantaged communities, as well as supply Personal Protective Equipments (PPEs) for healthworkers. AdU also deployed three buses to be utilized as transportation of frontliners in Makati Medical Center.
