Lady Baby Falcons sweep UAAP 82 girls’ basketball first round

Adamson High School completed a sweep of the UAAP 82 Girls’ Basketball first round after downing De La Salle- Zobel, 56-36, last January 25 at the Paco Arena.
Leading 35-30 early in the third frame, the Baby Lady Falcons unleashed a 14-2 run capped by a Crisnalyn Padilla score with 9:42 left, increasing their lead to a 47-32 balloon.
Joan Camagong led the Falcon cagebelles, posting a 13-12 point-rebound double-double to go along with three takeaways. Padilla almost filled a stat sheet with 11 markers, five boards, six steals and six dimes.
The girls from San Marcelino dispatched Ateneo High School in the inaugural game of the tournament before escaping University of Santo Tomas in their second game to erect a clean 3-0 card.
The second round is expected to begin on February 1 at the same venue.
