Lady Falcons land on first semis berth in stellar PVL run

The Lady Falcons booked the first semi-finals slot of the PVL Collegiate Conference after slamming the doors on previously-undefeated Ateneo Blue Eagles, 14-25, 25-21, 25-15, 25-21, last September 8 at the Arena in San Juan.

The rookie-laden Lady Falcons were down one set early until rookie setter Louie Romero took charge and paced the Adamson offense to three straight sets, handling the Lady Eagles their first defeat in five outings.

Sophomore spiker Trisha Genesis led the way with 19 points off 12 attacks, a kill block and six aces.

Rookie Lucille Almonte had 14 points laced with 15 digs and 11 excellent receptions the Lady Falcons march on to the next phase of the annual tournament.

The Soaring Falcons await their opponents from Pool B led by UAAP 81 finalists UST and NCAA powerhouses St. Benilde and Arellano.
