Ateneo coach: AdU is team to beat

Coach Tab Baldwin of Ateneo picked the Soaring Falcons as the team to beat this UAAP Season 82 Men’s Basketball Competition.
“For us, it’s pretty simple – it’s Adamson because they’re the next team,” the American-Kiwi mentor said.
FEU coach Olsen Racela also put Adamson atop his personal ranking along with Ateneo and UP, leaving one spot of the Final Four up for grabs.
Although the Blue Eagles are early favorites for a three-peat, coaches did not count out other teams, and described this season as unpredictable.
“For us, all of the schools have done a wonderful job. Every school’s gonna be a team-to-beat,” Coach Gian Nazario of La Salle said.
For his part, Adamson head tactician Franz Pumaren selected the Blue Eagles as his top team together with UP.
“It’s quite obvious, it’s gonna be Ateneo. From player 1 to player 16, their skills are the same. UP, I think they have the best recruiting class,” he said.
Ateneo and Adamson kickoff their season facing each other again this Wednesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao.
