Velandre Chauca is now an Adamson Soaring Falcon.

The latest trend of having one-and-done players has reached the University after the Office of Athletic and Recreation (OAR) confirmed that the Falcons have securedred the services of the Fil-Peruvian scoring machine for Season 82.

Chauca last played for the Enderun College-backed FamilyMart team in the PBA D-League where he made strides after posting averages of 24.1 ppg. to go with 5.3 apg. and 4.6 rpg., while shooting a scorching 44% from beyond the arc.

The 24-year old sniper played for US NCAA Division 1 school University of California Berkeley before suiting up for Enderun in the National Athletic Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (NAASCU) where he led the Titans to its maiden Finals appearance.

He will boost the team’s already loaded guard rotation led by main gunners Jerrick Ahanmisi and Jerom Lastimosa and promising upstarts Joem Sabandal and Joshua Yerro.

Chauca will make his debut when the Falcons begin their season against the Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU) Blue Eagles on Wednesday at the Smart Aranea Coliseum in Cubao.
