GS alumnus bags 2nd best research, best presenter in Int’l Conference

Adamsonian excellence was exhibited as an alumnus of the Graduate School and his research were chosen as one of the best in an international conference held in Thailand last May 29 – 31.

Engr. James Louie Meneses, a graduate of Adamson’s Master of Engineering major in Industrial Engineering program, had the research titled Reduction of Missing Pin Defect in Cutting and Fitting Process through LSS Methodology at a Semiconductor Company selected as second best research during the World Interdisciplinary Research Conference carrying the theme Reinventing Education and Research in the Era of 4th Industrial Revolution

Engr. Meneses, who currently teaches in his undergraduate alma mater, Manuel S. Envarga University Foundation, was also chosen as Best Research Presenter.

The paper which was co-authored with Engr. Noe Enriquez was also included in the parallel session of the said conference that featured 12 industry tracks throughout it’s three-day duration.

Dr. Ricardo Pama, the Secretary General of the Association of Universities in Asia and the Pacific (AUAP) was present as the event’s main speaker. 

The research conference which was hosted by the Lyceum of the Philippines University- Batangas and DR International Training and Research-Thailand also featured notable plenary speakers, namely Prof. Kanok Juthamanee of KNK Consulting Center Co.,Ltd. of Thonburi University in Thailand, Dr. Raquel Ramos, the Dean of the College of Business Administration of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines - Manila (PUP) and Dr. Rommel Tabula of Mahasarakham University, Thailand.

The paper “developed a way on how to set back a misaligned blade guide into standard measure of 0.9mm that consist of 11 pins by devising and developing an improved process in blade guide adjustment through work instruction and control plan to sustain the improvement.” 

The World Interdisciplinary Research Conference, as explained on their website, “aims to gather academicians; experienced and accomplished professionals, practitioners and educators from different regions of the world for the exchange of knowledge, ideas and best practices, and promote the importance of credibility, competence and collaboration among fellow researchers.”
